Connecting a Concox / GT06 and similar devices

Many Chinese trackers use the GT06 protocol. They are set up with two SMS messages: APN and server on port 5023.

What you need

  • A data SIM card without a PIN inserted in the device
  • The SIM phone number and the device IMEI
  • The device added in the panel with this IMEI

Some models need the device password before the command, e.g. SERVER,123456,... or 123456,SERVER,.... The factory password is usually 123456 or 0000. Check your model's manual.

Steps

  1. Set the APN
    APN,internet#

    Replace internet with your operator's APN. With username and password: APN,apn,username,password#

  2. Set the server
    SERVER,0,track.appalbania.com,5023,0#

    The first 0 means you are giving a domain name, the last 0 means TCP.

  3. Restart the device
    RESET#

Verify

  • Send PARAM# to see the stored server and APN.
  • Send STATUS# for GPS and network status.
  • Once connected, the vehicle appears on the Live map. If the IMEI was not added in the panel, the device is rejected and our team sees it under Unknown devices.

Verify: syntax differs by manufacturer and firmware (GT06N, GT02, JM-VL01, TK100, etc.). The commands above are the most common for Concox. If the device answers Error or does not answer, open a request with the exact model.
