Why does my device show offline?

A checklist from the simplest cause to the rarest: power, SIM card, APN, server and signal.

A device shows as Offline when we have not received any message from it for more than 10 minutes (you can change this in Settings). It does not always mean something is broken.

1. The vehicle has been parked for a long time

Many devices go to sleep when the engine is off to save the vehicle battery and report rarely. Start the engine and wait 2 to 3 minutes.

2. Power

  • Check whether the device lights are on.
  • If the vehicle battery is flat or disconnected, the device runs only on its internal battery for a few hours.
  • After a repair on the vehicle, the cable may have been disconnected.

3. The SIM card

  • Does it have active data and credit? Prepaid cards run out without warning.
  • Has the data bundle expired?
  • Is it seated properly?

4. APN and server

If you just configured the device, check the APN and the server track.appalbania.com with the correct port for your brand. See the guide for your model in Connect a device.

5. Signal

In underground garages, tunnels or mountain areas without coverage, the device stores positions in memory and sends them when the signal returns. History fills in afterwards.

6. The IMEI

Make sure the IMEI in the panel matches the label (15 digits, no spaces).

If none of this helps, open a request with the device IMEI and when you last saw it online. We can see whether the device is trying to reach our server.
